Catch Up

So apparently I stink at this whole blogging thing. Who knew?

Well, my wisdom teeth came out with no problem. The medication, however, made things quite miserable for about a week. I'm back eating normal human food, which is a relief. Michael's really getting a kick out of using the syringe the doctor gave me at my check up. (Does that surprise anyone?)

My mom's been up here visiting for the past week. We've been enjoying her company a lot. She leaves tomorrow, but it feels like she just got here. Have I mentioned she's the best cook in the world? I was pleasantly reminded of that fact this week. (But the clothes fitting a little more snugly is a little less pleasant.)

My college roommate, Carly, and her fiance are coming up here on Thursday. I can't wait to see them. This will be a great week. Totally ending my summer on a good note, that's for sure.

With that...

Peace.

The mouth of the righteous brings forth wisdom...

Okay, so in approximately 10 hours, I will be sitting in at the oral surgeon's office drifting off to sleep as the doctor prepares to pull out all four of my wisdom teeth.

Now, I've been putting this day off for years (seriously), and I am really quite nervous. I know that I'll be fine, as everyone keeps assuring me, but it's still uncomfortable. Thankfully, my wonderful Michael is going to be with me all day. He's promised to take care of me, which I know he will do so well.

This week my diet will consist of tropical Jello, mashed potatoes (flakes, not the real stuff), cheesecake pudding, vanilla ice cream and FlavorIce(here's to you, EFurstie).

Wonder how chipmunk-esque I'll look. Maybe I'll have to post some pictures...We'll see.

See you on the other side, with a few less teeth, but hopefully a little more wisdom.

Hello!

So, we're going to try this blog thing out. I've never been too great at keeping up with these things, but hopefully I can improve. We'll see how well we keep this updated in the coming months, especially after school starts back up. Anyway, just wanted to start this up. Grace and peace.
